We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Behavioral Health. We are happy to work with you to explore additional provider relationships. You can contact us at (815)630-2220 to find out more about our services and coverage for your individual policy.
What are the ages of the clients that you provide services for?
We work with individuals of all ages. Most of our clients are between the ages of 2 years old and 15 years old but we welcome all ages and levels.
Can you help my child in the community (e.g., going to the grocery store, participating on a sports team)?
Our therapy programs are created to meet the individual needs of your child. Community integration is a primary area of focus. We are happy to have sessions in community locations or during regularly scheduled events (e.g., baseball practice, boy scouts). We require the consent of coaches or program directors; with their approval we are happy to provide services focused on teaching your child to actively engage in sports teams and other types of clubs.
Where does therapy take place? Do you have a building or a center?
We do not have a building - our therapists come to you. The goal of our therapy is to provide services in the most relevant environment for your and your child. Therapy usually takes place in the home, but frequently takes place in a variety of community settings based on the challenges it presents.
Do you offer social groups?
Yes, we put groups together based on age, level and geographical area. If you are interested in joining or forming a group please contact us to discuss in more detail.
Can you help my child participate more with the family socially?
Yes, we provide individual therapy that teaches play, leisure, social interaction and coping skills. We also offer parent training sessions that are a part of the individual therapy program or as a stand alone program for families who have other therapy resources. Both options are created to optimize opportunities to improve social interaction with the family. Contact us to discuss the specific needs of your family.
My child has some significant behaviors, will you work with him?
Our ABA therapy programs are designed to meet the needs of each child and family. We will schedule an initial consultation to meet you and your child. During that time we will complete a comprehensive behavior evaluation focused on understanding the severity, frequency and impact of the behaviors. Based on that information we will discuss therapy plan options that include individual therapy and family training for consistent behavior response. If we feel the severity of behaviors are beyond our scope of practice we will work with you to find resources that specialize in more severe behaviors. With over 15 years of experience, less than 5% of our clients have been referred out due to severity of behaviors.
My child has recently been diagnosed, I don't know where to begin, can you help?
We understand that the initial diagnosis can bring on a variety of emotions and that there is an overwhelming amount of information to filter through. We offer free consultations in which we meet you and your child. During that time we can help you understand a variety of therapy options, resources and help you set a road map. We take the time to answer your questions and address your concerns. If we are unable to meet your needs we will point you in the direction of those who can.
